Ordained in 1951, Fr. Albertus worked for a time in the fund raising office in Nijmegen. Responding to his missionary vocation he went to Congo in 1953 and was first sent to Basoko. In 1964 during the time of the revolution in the Congo he returned to Holland. In 1964 he dedicated himself to a charitable institution of Saint Francis L for poor or abandoned children in Amsterdam. In 1972 he also became a pastor in Amsterdam.
From November 1974 up to May 1983 he worked as assistant pastor at Saint Ludgerus Parish at Lichtenvoorde. In 1976 on he also took on the care of the parish of St. Boniface in the same town, taking care mainly of the youth, and preparing people for marriage. From 1984 to 1994 he was chaplain at the hospital of St Anthony also in Lichtenvoorde.
From 1974 on he was looked after by his cousin.
In the last days of his life he retired to the scj community house of Nijmegen where he died.

Ordenado em 1951, o P. Albertus trabalhou na secretaria de benfeitores de Nijmegen. Respondendo á sua vocação missionária, ele foi para o Congo em 1953 sendo destinado à missão de Basoko. Ao tempo da revolução de 1964 naquele país ele voltou à Holanda. Os anos seguintes foram dedicados ao trabalho numa instituição de caridade em favor de crianças pobres ou abandonadas em Amsterdam. Desde 1972 ela era também pároco em Amsterdam
De Novembro de 1974 até maio de 1983 ele trabalhou covo vigário paroquial na paróquia de Saint Ludgerus, em Lichtenvoorde. Ao mesmo tempo, a partir de 1976, ele tomava conta da paróquia de St. Boniface, na mesma cidade, dedicando-se principalmente aos jovens que se preparavam para o casamento. De 1984 a 1994 ele foi capelão do hospital St Anthony, sempre em Lichtenvoorde.
Desde 1974 estava aos cuidados de sua prima.
Nos últimos dias de sua doença recolheu-se à nossa
casa de Nijmegen onde veio a falecer.
