Due to his work schedule Stefan Tertünte will suspend his commentaries until after Easter.

Dehon in Canada and America

Catholicism has made tremendous progress in North America. In noting this fact, it should be recognized that Catholicism has not been hurt by science and progress, neither of which is in short supply in the United States. What has been dying is corrupt European society, and unless God infuses it (87) with new life, the day is not far off when the New World with its vitality and immense resources will be the most beautiful and precious gem in the Catholic Church.

In the next two weeks excerpts from Dehon in Canada and America, Fr. Dehon reflects on the status of Catholicism in North America as well as the races in the United States; that will be followed by the final installment in this series on the May 6th news page.
