St. Joseph's Parish Church
Malpas is a small country town located in the English Midlands, not far from the Welsh boarder. Manchester, about an hour's drive, is the nearest large city. The SCJ "Mother House" is located just outside of town. Currently the community operates St. Joseph's Centre (a retreat and conference center), as well as the small rural parish of St. Joseph pictured above. Originally the building served as a horse stable, it was converted into the parish church about 50 years ago.

Taking advantage of WWW

The Plan "WE, THE CONGREGATION, IN SERVICE TO THE MISSION" 1997-2003 was a veritable global team effort. The original text, written in Italian at Rome, was completed shortly before Christmas. The Italian original was emailed to Paris, France for translation into French, and to Hales Corners, Wisconsin in the United States for its English translation. Final texts in French, Italian and English were emailed to Ms. Mary Gorski (US Province director of communications) at Hales Corners, who had agreed to design, layout, print and mail the final texts in booklet style to the provinces, regions and territorial communities. Meanwhile the text were emailed to Malpas, England to Tom Cassidy, scj (CU) to translate them into HTML format. The HTML text in French, Italian and English where then sent to Zdzislaw Huber, scj (FIN) webmaster of the SCJ Curia Homepage in Helsinki, Finland and to be placed on the PCN (Peace Communications Network) server, located in Rome, Italy.
