1. Il XX Capitolo Generale ha fatto la seguente mozione, n°5:
"Riuniti in Capitolo generale, i Sacerdoti del Sacro Cuore di Gesù, chiamati a essere "profeti dell'amore e ministri della riconciliazione", si sentono interpellati dal problema del neoliberismo economico.
Questo tipo di economia, in quanto sovranazionale, sfugge all'autorità statale, nazionale e locale, e a ogni ordinamento giuridico, sottraendo anche a qualsiasi valutazione etica. Esso sta sconvolgendo la vita della maggior parte dell'umanità con guerre e guasti ambientali, e costituisce uno dei massimi "peccati strutturali" del mondo d'oggi (Pacem in terris, GS, PP, SRS, CA passim)
Perché la Congregazione tutta intera venga sensibilizzata a questo problema, si chiede che la prossima Conferenza Generale abbia per tema: "Economia e Regno di Dio" per individuare scelte apostoliche coerenti con la dimensione sociale del carisma dehoniano." (Doc. XVII, p.392)
La mozione dunque chiede al Direttivo Generale di organizzare la Conferenza Generale sul tema "Economia e Regno di Dio".
2. Il Direttivo Generale nel suo programma di governo - Noi Congregazione a Servizio della Missione - 1997-2003, n°17 - ha stabilito per se, dentro di un contesto di Impegno Sociale e seguendo gli orientamenti capitolari:
Studiare la realtà socioculturale del contesto dove si vive, con particolare attenzione al fenomeno del neoliberismo ...
Fra i mezzi proposti, c'è la Conferenza generale (cf. Mozione 5, Doc.XVII, p.392) e fra le scelte operative stabilisce:
Fare precedere dallo studio della realtà socio-culturale, in cui le Province / Regioni operano, la prossima Conferenza generale.
Alcuni passi già sono stati fatti in Congregazione:
3. Ci pare che l'oggettivo della Conferenza sia, non solo provocare una riflessione, ma portare le Province e la Congregazione ad avere una politica amministrativa e economica che non segua una etica neoliberista; che siamo capaci di arrivare a scelte precise di povertà e servizio.
4. Dentro dello spirito che ci ha accompagnati nella storia recente della Congregazione, ci proponiamo di fare una conferenza dove sia evidente la partecipazione della "base della Congregazione", che "la Congregazione tutta intera venga sensibilizzata". Perciò vi chiediamo:

Dunque si tratta di trovare il cammino per attuare meglio questa dimensione della nostra spiritualità, e concretizzare le scelte del XXº Capitolo Generale e del nostro piano di governo, "Noi Congregazione a servizio della Missione"-
1. Le 20ème Chapitre Général a fait la motion suivante :
Réunis en Chapitre Général, les Prêtres du Sacré Coeur de Jésus, appelés à être des "prophètes de l'amour et des serviteurs de la réconciliation", se sentent interpellés par les problèmes du néolibéralisme économique.
De type d'économie, puisqu'il est supranational, échappe à l'autorité de l'État, nationale et locale, et à tout règlement juridique, en se soustrayant également à toute évaluation éthique. Il est en train de bouleverses la vie de la plus grande partie de l'humanité par des guerres et des ravages dans leur milieu de vie, et représente un des "péchés structurels" majeurs du monde d'aujourd'hui (PTT, GS,PP,SRS,CS passim).
Afin que la Congrégation toute entière soit sensibilisée à ce problème, on demande que la prochaine Conférence générale ait pour thème: "l'Économie et le Royaume de Dieu", pour dégager des options apostoliques cohérentes avec la dimension sociale du charisme dehoniene". (Motion 5; Doc, XVII, p.392)
Ainsi, la motion demande à la direction générale d'organiser la Conférence Générale sur le thème « Economie et Règne de Dieu ».
2. Dans son projet de gouvernement - « Nous, la Congrégation, au service de la Mission 1997-2003 (n° 17) -, la Direction Générale a établi pour elle-même, dans un contexte d'Engagement Sociale et suivant les orientations capitulaires :
Étudier la situation socio-culturelle du contexte dans lequel on vit, avec une attention particulière au phénomène du néolibéralisme...
Parmi les moyens proposés, il y a la Conférence générale (cf. Motion 5) et parmi les Choix opérationnels
Faire précéder la prochaine Conférence générale par une étude des situations socio-culturelles dans lesquelles travaillent les Provinces/Régions

3. Il nous semble que l'objectif de la Conférence soit non seulement de provoquer une réflexion, mais d'amener les provinces à avoir une politique administrative et économique qui ne suive pas une éthique néolibéraliste, et qui soient capables d'arriver à des choix précis de pauvreté et de service.
4. Dans l'esprit qui nous a accompagnés dans l'histoire récente de la Congrégation, nous nous proposons de faire une Conférence où la participation de la « base de la Congrégation » soit évidente ; qu'ainsi « la Congrégation tout entière y soit sensibilisée ». Pour cela :

United at a General Chapter, the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, called to be "prophets of love and servants of reconciliation" are called to respond to the problem of economic neoliberalism.
This system of economy, to the degree that it is above national sovereignty, escapes any state authority whether national or local and any kind of juridical order even to the point of avoiding any kind of ethical evaluation. This system is overturning the lives of the greater part of human kind through wars and environmental disasters and constitutes one of the greatest 'structural sins' today's world (PT, GS, PP, SRC, CA passim).
To permit the entire Congregation to become sensitive to this problem, we ask that the next General Conference have as its topic: Economics and the Kingdom of God for the sake of establishing consistent apostolic choices in keeping with social dimension of the SCJ charism. (Doc XVII, p.392)
Out of 78 voters, 55 voted yes, 18 no and 5 abstained.
That motion asks the General Administration to organize the General Conference on the theme "Economy and the Kingdom of God".
2.The General Administration in its program "We, the Congregation in Service to the Mission -1997-2003", n. 17, established for itself, in a context of social commitment and following the Chapter guidelines:
To look at the socio-cultural reality present in the situation where we live paying particular attention to the neo-liberal phenomenon.
Among the means proposed one finds the General Conference (Cf. Motion 5, Doc. XVII, p.392) and among the Operative Choices
Prepare for the next General Conference with a study of the socio-cultural realities in which the provinces and regions are working.
Some steps has already been made in the Congregation:
3.It seems that the aim of this Conference is to bring us to reflection as well as bring the Provinces and Regions to an economic policy different from neoliberalism ethics; may we come to precise options of poverty and service.
4. In the spirit we live and in the recent history of the Congregation, we propose to organize a Conference in which the participation of all is emphasized, a Conference that "may touch and move the entire Congregation". We ask then:
