Conclusion

53. We are aware of the struggle of some to accept the new perspective of the plan "We, the Congregation, in Service to the Mission"; as well as the struggle to be open to communion, to collaboration, to sharing. Similar difficulties about the plan "We, the Congregation" had already surfaced during the General Chapter itself.

Nevertheless the prospects and hopes that this plan raised during the Chapter and found in the first reactions from the provinces, regions, and territorial communities, lead us to believe that the congregation and we, too, as General Council, are heading out along a new course set for us by the 20th General Chapter.

For these hopes which have been raised up to become concrete reality, what is required of us is a real change of heart: a change in our personal outlook and attitude. We need to turn once again to living the "Sint Unum" opening up to the spirit of internationality and indefatigable zeal that guided our Founder, Fr. Dehon, to "establish the Kingdom of the Heart of Jesus in souls and in society".
