What's Happening?

Mozambique

Deacons Augusto João, Damião Nunes Manuel and  José Alfredo Robo, of the Mozambican Province will be ordained to the priesthood on July 14, 2002 in the Cathedral of Gurue.

Rome

Marek Stoklosa, general secretary, had a lot of fun this morning reading, a bulletin from one of the provinces which says that Fr. Evaristo de Alegría was appointed ECONOMO (Treasurer) of Roma II. This is the term used in the Italian version of the Web page news, where people are picking up this information. Br. Marek Skorski was not informed that he is no longer in charge. Somebody must tell him.

from Odilo Leviski
assistant general secretary

Note Fr. Evaristo de Alegría was appointed 'administrator' of the Rome II community while Fr. Konior, superior of the Rome II community, is in Poland to attend to health problems.

United States

Deacon Joseph Dinh of the Unites States Province will be ordained to the priesthood at Sacred Heart Monastery/Sacred Heart School of Theology chapel on July 13, 2002.
