What's New

Claudio Siebenaler (CU) has notified us that Argentina has a new email address: scjaupro@confar.org.ar. It will be added to the province email page (cf. Links). He also informs us that Chile is in the process of obtaining a new email address. At present there are a few kinks in their system. Once the bugs have been worked out we will post their new address as well.

Thanks to Leopold Mfouakouet (CM) we have posted the English translation of the document on Justice and Peace from Zaire (cf. J&P).

Posted to the Letters and Documents section is a letter from Fr. General to the congregation on the situation in Congo (Zaire).

What's Happening
In addition to the notice on this weeks news page about the recent Spanish Portuguese Joint Assembly we have received a document from Carlos Alberto da Costa Silva offering greater details. This document will be published next week once the various translations have been completed.

Retreat With Fr. André Perroux in the Monastery of Babeté

During the week of July 26th Fr. André Perroux (GA) preached a retreat to scj priests and brothers, as well as a few nuns from the Servants of the Heart of Jesus, on the theme of the Love, dear to both Congregations.

Many favorite biblical texts of Fr. Dehon inspired Fr. André. Ten talks nourished the meditations:

Fr. André carefully selected the text he believed the religious men and women of the Heart of Jesus needed to hear. To tell the truth, something changed in the lives of the participants without their even knowing as they mulled over words what they heard during that retreat.
