During his recent visit to Rome, Bishop Vital Chitolina, scj, the apostolic vicar of the apostolic prélature of Paranatinga sat down with Stefan Tertünte (GE). The interview is being prepared for the new SCJ German web site ( which will officially go online next month. Stephen was kind enough to share the interview with us. What's Happening

After nine years in office as provincial Hugh Hanley (BH) stepped down from office. On March 1, 1999 in a simple ceremony the new provincial Michael Walshe and his council took office.

After a well deserved vacation Fr. General returned to Rome on March 5th. He will spend several days in Rome before commencing the canonical visitation of the South Italian (IM) Province. Umberto Chiarello (CU) will accompany him on this visit.
