IT - Nella prima parte della sua omelia per la festa della Santa Trinità, p. Dehon mostra come il dogma della Trinità illumina la nostra fede e spiega i brani della Sacra Scrittura dove appare in qualche modo la distinzione delle Persone divine. Nella seconda parte lo presenta come base della nostra speranza e nella terza come vincolo e modello di carità.
EN - In the first part of his homily for the feast of the Holy Trinity Fr. Dehon not only demonstrates how the dogma of the Trinity illuminates our faith, he also explains the extracts from the Sacred Scriptures which show how to distinguish the individual identities of the divine persons. In the second part he presents the Holy Trinity as the basis of our presence here and, in the third part, as a bonding link and the model of charity.

Le “proprium” du charisme de l’Institut est source d’identité, d’appartenance, de gratuité et d’élan apostolique-missionnaire.
EN - All charisms possess a unique and marvelous vitality which touches the heart of those whom the Lord has called to constitute “a new family for the mission”. The “proprium” of the Institute’s charism is its source of identity, belonging, unrestrained generosity and the impetus of its apostolic missionary.

FR - Le don le plus précieux à partager avec les autres est le Christ lui-même. Communiquer le Christ en paroles et en actions est le but de chaque charisme, qui ne peut se limiter à un institut déterminé et à ses œuvres. Cela exige de passer d’une mentalité cléricale, hiérarchique à une mentalité d’Église-communion, sensible aux exigences de la communication.
EN - The most precious gift to share with others is Christ Himself. Communicating Christ in words and in actions is the object of every charism, and is not a thing which can be limited to one specific institute and its works. This requires the passing from a clerical and hierarchical mentality to a mentality of Church-communion, sensitive to the demands of communication.

IT - L’esperienza dell’amore di Dio in Gesù Cristo - amore non tanto da speculare, quanto piuttosto da sperimentare e da condividere - è l’elemento fondante dell’esperienza cristiana, dal quale scaturiscono, come conseguenze, atteggiamenti di spirito caratterizzanti, quali la “riparazione”; il suo risvolto “politico” di attenzione al volto sfigurato dell’uomo e alla trasformazione del mondo; oblazione di amore; solidarietà e speranza nella contemplazione del Trafitto, che rimanda alla Risurrezione come al solo fattore definitivo della vicenda di Gesù. La spiritualità del Cuore di Cristo presuppone sempre, dunque, come base la contemplazione mistica e si pone come un programma di discepolato: la sequela di Cristo alla scuola del Cuore.
EN - The experience of the love of God in Jesus Christ - a love not so much to reflect upon as to experience and share - is the fundamental element of the Christian experience. As a consequence, this is the element which ignites the distinguishing attitudes of spirit: “reparation”; the “political” redirection of our attention to the disfigured face of man and to the transformation of the world; the oblation of love; and living with solidarity and hope in the contemplation of the Pierced One, which directs us once again to the resurrection as the sole definitive factor of the event which is Christ. Therefore, the spirituality of the Heart of Christ always presupposes that its basis is mystical contemplation and that it can be seen as a program of disciple-hood: to learn of the Passion of Christ through the study of the Heart.

IT - Partendo dall’esempio di Cristo, andato fino in fondo della sua missione d’amore, l’autore mostra come la libertà riesce a trasformare il destino, a dare un significato alla sofferenza. La radice d’ogni male è il rifiuto dell’amore. Per vincerlo occorre inoculare amore nel cuore della sofferenza, dove spesso si annidano rivolta, odio, gelosia. Non si sceglie la sofferenza per se stessa, ma l’uomo ne può fare un’espressione del suo amore e Dio la trasformerà in sorgente di vita.
EN - Starting from the example of Christ, who performed His mission of love right to the end, the author shows how freedom manages to transform fate, by giving a meaning to suffering. The root of every evil is the rejection of love. To overcome this it is necessary to inoculate love into the heart of suffering, where often rebellion, hatred, and jealousy have made their nest. One does not choose suffering for itself, but man can make it an expression of his love and God will transform it into a spring of life.

FR - Tandis que la partie inspiratrice de la Règle de vie, selon l’avis du p. Chiarello, ne requiert pas de révision, tout au plus une «traduction» dans les différentes cultures locales, la partie juridique présente une série de lacunes et d’imprécisions. D’une part, on n’a pas tenu compte de toutes les observations faites par les consulteurs de la Congrégation pour les Religieux, d’autre part, les nouvelles structures de la Congrégation, avec leurs formes de gouvernement, surgies au cours des dernières années, exigent une base juridique claire dans la Règle de vie.
EN - While the inspirational part of the Rule of Life, in Fr. Chiarello’s opinion, at most requires a “translation” into the different local cultures, but not a revision, the institutional part offers a series of lacuna and imprecise statements. On the one hand, no account has been taken of all the observations made by the consultants of the Congregation for Religious, and, on the other hand, there has been no recognition of the fact that the new structures of the Congregation, with their forms of government which have developed during recent years, demand a clear juridical basis in the Rule of Life.

IT - Nella cappella della nostra casa generalizia, a Roma, si trova una statua di Nostra Signora del Sacro Cuore, proveniente da San Quintino, davanti alla quale il p. Dehon avrebbe emesso i suoi primi voti. Basandosi su una serie di documenti dell’epoca, p. Driedonkx traccia la storia di questa rappresentazione della Santa Vergine con il Bambino Gesù, non senza sollevare una serie di questioni che meritano uno studio ulteriore.
EN - In the Chapel of our Generalate in Rome there is a statue of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, which came from St. Quentin, and before which Fr. Dehon took his first vows. Basing his work on a series of documents of the period, Fr. Driedonkx traces the history of this image of the Holy Virgin with the Child Jesus, not without raising a series of questions which deserve further study.

IT - Nel suo discorso d’apertura, p. Dino Ruaro, superiore provinciale, descrive lo stato attuale della Provincia e solleva alcuni problemi relativi al suo futuro. Seguono le conclusioni dei lavori in gruppi e in assemblea, centrati soprattutto sulle priorità del Progetto Apostolico Provinciale. La relazione del p. Palermo termina con la valutazione fatta dai partecipanti alla fine della Conferenza.
EN - In his opening address Fr. Dino Ruaro, Provincial Superior, describes the current state of the Province and accentuates some problems relative to its future. This is followed by the conclusions of the working groups and of the assembly, centered above all on the priority of the Provincial Apostolic Project. Fr. Palermo’s report ends with the evaluation made by the participants at the end of the Conference.

IT - L’autore analizza le cause della crisi pluridimensionale che ha scosso l’Indonesia - il paese con la popolazione musulmana più numerosa del mondo - in questi ultimi anni, dopo la caduta del regime di Suharto. Si sofferma in particolare sulla situazione nelle Molucche e cerca di individuare gli attori che si nascondono dietro questi conflitti. Infine illustra la risposta della Chiesa cattolica, che deve confrontarsi alle nuove sfide, nel cammino verso la costruzione della nuova Indonesia.
FR - L’auteur analyse les causes de la crise multidimensionnelle qui a secoué l’Indonésie - le pays avec la population islamique la plus nombreuse du monde - au cours de ces dernières années, après la chute du régime de Suharto. Il fixe son attention particulière sur la situation dans les Moluques et cherche de démasquer les acteurs qui se cachent derrière ces conflits. IT - Nessuno può fermare l’espansione dei media globalizzati, persino i giovani indonesiani amano vestirsi secondo la moda suggerita da una pubblicità onnipresente. Per salvaguardare i valori delle culture locali, occorre educare la gente ad essere più critici nei confronti dei media che tendono spesso, soprattutto nei paesi a regime autoritario, a servire interessi commerciali, anziché promuovere i diritti umani, la libertà e la democrazia.
FR - Personne ne peut arrêter l’expansion des media globalisés, même les jeunes indonésiens aiment s’habiller selon la mode suggérée par une publicité omniprésente. Pour sauvegarder les valeurs des cultures locales, il faut éduquer les gens à être plus critiques vis-à-vis des media qui ont tendance, surtout dans les pays sous régime autoritaire, à servir des intérêts commerciaux plutôt que de promouvoir les droits humaines, la liberté et la démocratie.

IT - Dopo alcune informazioni generali sulla situazione storica ed ecclesiale del Vietnam, la relazione porta la nostra attenzione sui problemi ai quali sono confrontati attualmente i seminaristi della diocesi di Nha Trang (Vietnam Meridionale), di cui alcuni hanno manifestato il desiderio di raggiungere la nostra casa di formazione di Manila. Il vescovo diocesano ha dato il suo pieno assenso al progetto. La Chiesa nel Vietnam fa prova di una grande vitalità, nonostante le restrizioni imposte dal governo.
FR - Après quelques informations générales sur la situation historique et ecclésiale du Viêt-Nam, le rapport attire notre attention sur les problèmes auxquels doivent faire face actuellement les séminaristes du diocèse de Nha Trang (Viêt-Nam du Sud), dont quelques-uns ont manifesté le désir de rejoindre notre maison de formation à Manila. L’évêque diocésain a donné son plein accord au projet. Malgré les restrictions imposées par le gouvernement, l’Église au Viêt-Nam fait preuve d’une grande vitalité.

IT - Questa nuova edizione presenta le nove conferenze sulla questione sociale pronunciate da p. Dehon a Roma tra il 1897 e il 1900, gli anni più fecondi della sua azione sociale. Il testo originale (seconda parte), sottoposto ad un esame critico e arricchito con citazioni più precise e note, è preceduto da una prima parte che illustra il contesto sociale e politico della Chiesa in Francia, alla fine del secolo XIX°. Segue una terza parte, il cui obiettivo è di mostrare l’attualità del pensiero di p. Dehon all’inizio del terzo millennio.
FR - Cette nouvelle édition présente les neuf conférences sur la question sociale données par le p. Dehon à Rome entre 1897 et 1900, années les plus fécondes de son action sociale. Le texte original (deuxième partie), soumis à une révision critique et enrichi par des citations plus précises et des notes, est précédé d’une première partie illustrant le contexte social et politique de l’Église en France, à la fin du XIXe siècle, et suivi d’une troisième partie, dont l’objectif est de montrer l’actualité de la pensée du p. Dehon au début du troisième millénaire.
EN - This new edition presents the nine conferences on the social question given by Fr. Dehon in Rome between 1897 & 1900, the richest years of his social action. The original text (second part), subjected to a critical examination and enriched by more precise quotations and notes, is preceded by the first part that illustrates the social and political context of the Church in France at the end of the XIXth century. It is followed by the third part whose objective is to show how Fr. Dehon’s thought is still a topical interest at the beginning of the third millennium.
